OBITUARY I was unable to find an obituary but I did find this: Sp4 Robert Edward Rehder, Vietnam Veteran, native of Richmond Hill, New York. He was a casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Army, Sp4 Rehder served our country until October 20th, 1968 in Thua Thien, South Vietnam. He was ?19 years old and wasn't married. It was reported that he was killed by small arms fire. He was born in Richmond Hill, New York, on November 14th, 1948. His body was recovered. Sp4 Rehder is on panel 40W, line 08 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for more than 1 year. He is the Son of Mrs Ann G. Rumpf, Richmond Hill, New York and Mr Edward Rehder Brooklyn, New York. He was born in Richmond Hill where he attended St. Benedict Joseph Labre Parochial School and Richmond Hill High School. He enlisted in the Army August,1967 and planned to make a career out of it. |
