The Alpha Originals web site was a creation of Floyd Turnley. In February 2020, at his request before passing, I merged his web site with our Alpha Avengers web site. This is dedicated to Floyd and all of the "Originals"! The Originals departed from Fort Campbell, December 1967, with the 101st Airborne Division. A few left Fort Campbell in early 1968. Original David DeSoucy quantifies: "By July of 68 most of the company were replacements. The platoons only had a handful of Originals left. Maybe 5 or 6 in each platoon at best."
