| In 2010 Brian Eveleth wrote the following in our Guestbook: Doc Stafford’s comment on 7/12/10 left out the fact that due to heavy ground fire he and other wounded Alpha Avengers were not able to be air lifted out for several days, we needed to secure a surrounding hilltop and establish an LZ. “Doc” will also find a picture of himself that was taken on FSB Brick (Brian Eveleth photo’s top row far right), in that same picture with Doc Stafford is Dave Schmidli and Rich Johnson, both were also wounded during the same timeframe and sent stateside ---the mission which was to relieve 2/506 on Hill 902 near FSB Ripcord.
