OBITUARY

Charles H. “Butch” McCulley, 65, Altoona, passed away Tuesday morning at his residence after an extended battle with lung cancer. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Edward and Nellie (Curry) McCulley. On July 5, 1975, he married Patricia G. Cassarly, in St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Altoona. Surviving are his wife of Altoona; two daughters: Kelly and Krystal McCulley, both of Altoona; three grandchildren: Allie, Noah and MacKenzie; three brothers: Leonard McCulley in Florida, Thomas McCulley in Georgia, and Manny McCulley of Duncansville; and two sisters: Dolores McCulley of Altoona and Nancy Dick of Hollidaysburg. He was preceded in death by a son, Patrick Charles McCulley in 1981; two brothers: Joe and John; and three sisters: Shirley, Jane and Molly. Butch was a graduate of Altoona High School and the Altoona Area Vocational-Technical School. He was U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He retired from American Eagle Paper Mills, Tyrone, formerly Westvaco Corporation, after 25 years of service as a welder/pipe-fitter.
