JERRY PRIGMORE |
Jerry Prigmore was part of our January 1971 Roster. He was from Phoenix, AZ. Leter documentation showed he lived in Cut & Shoot, TX. |

I could not find photos of Jerry. |
NOTES FROM FAMILY AND FRIENDS |
I requested help about Prigmore on our Facebook Group
page because I could not find any info on Greg Prigmore as listed on one
of our Rosters. Our address books always showed "Jerry Prigmore's wife". |
Jim Ivy wrote: Jerry Prigmore served with us in 1971. He became acting 1st Sgt March after we had hit like 5 hot LZ’s in a row which included the KIA of Winters and Wentworth. Paul can probably give you more timing and facts. I didn’t know a Greg Prigmore. |
Paul Gochnour recounted: Jim Ivy my mind like my body are going but, I do agree with you. Jerry disliked (who didn’t) the bush and felt he could help us more in the rear…he could scrounge/trade with the best of them. My favorite “Sgt. Prigmore” story: someone got mad at him and said. ‘You better hope we don’t get in a fire fight’ ..Prigmore took off his safety, tossed his M-16 to him and said…if you got the balls do it now! (As the platoon leader I’m thinking how will I explain my platoon sergeant being shot)…in those seconds cooler heads prevailed. |
