Pernel Weatherington

OBITUARY

Pernell Weatherington was born November 23, 1950 to Orzie and Laverne Weatherington in Birmingham, Alabama. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother. He accepted Christ at an early age. He attended Ketona Elementary and graduated from Newcastle High School in 1968 in Birmingham, Alabama. After graduating Pernell joined the United Army from 1969-19772, and served during the Vietnam War (71-72), receiving a Purple Heart. Pernell married the love of his life, Frankie Trimble of Birmingham on March 23, 1980, and to the union two children were born. In 1992 he redicated his life to the Lord at Bible Baptist Church in Guthrie, Oklahoma. He leaves to cherish his memories; his wife Frankie Weatherington; sons, Tony (Ann Dee) of Moore, OK, and Derick (Kim) of Birmingham; daughter, Niki Morgan(Sam)of Guthrie, OK. Grandchildren; Tiana and Jalen Weatherington, Ariana and Ania Morgan, Mikayla, and BreeAnn Weatherington, and Derrick Weatherington, Jr. sisters; Anita Thomas of Birmingham, Ilona (Leroy) Henderson of Birmingham, Lorita Pitts (Johnathan) of Birmingham, one brother, Walter Weatherington of Birmingham. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
