I spent my 1st nine months or so "in country" with D/2/506. Then some higher ups got the bright idea the some outfits might need some "experienced guys". Got transfered to A/2/501 with about 75 days to go. Lucky me! Just in time for F.B.Henderson and a few other bad places. Did get to Eagle Beach about 3 time for new replacements. Lots of water under the bridge since then. I'd like to thank those responsible for the web site.
