Tomas Rodriguez arrived in Vietnam on 19 Oct 1968 and was assigned to A/2-501 IN. He was from Los Angels, CA (Venice, CA). Tomas was on our "Roster Number 5" dated 5 April 1969. Published in the Los Angeles Times on July 16, 2009 - RODRIGUEZ, Tomas L. June 9, 1948 - July 11, 2009 (61), a resident of Mar Vista, CA, passed away on July 11, 2009 at VA Hospital. He was born on June 9, 1948 in Santa Monica, CA to Ramiro and Maria Rodriguez. Tomas served in the Vietnam War with the United States Army. He is survived by his wife Bertha, three sons Tomas Jr., Robert and Mark, one grandson Thomas, five sisters Delia Carrasco, Virginia Kinney, Margaret and Gracie Rodriguez, Linda Barajas and three brothers Ramiro Jr., Jose and Armando, all from the Bay Area. The rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Fri., July 17 at Gates, Kingsley & Gates, 4220 Sepulveda Blvd., Culver City, CA. The mass services will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Sat., July 18, St. Augustine, 3850 Jasmine Ave., Culver City, CA. The interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. |
