DeSoucy arrived at Fort Campbell, KY in 1967. He went with the 101st Airborne Division to Vietnam, December 1967. He was not assigned to 1st Platoon as Medic at the end 1968. He presently lives in Yucaipa, CA. |
Dave served as Alpha Avenger Association's Vice President 2002-2004 and as our President 2004-2006. |

historian M. David DeSoucy is a retired veteran of 25 years of service
in the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. He is a member of the
National Outlaw Lawmen Association and has written several articles on
the history of Old West law enforcement. He also wrote numerous historical articles on the SBCSD
and its connection to
the Colton-based Earp family and the clan’s most famous son, Wyatt Earp. He has compiled this fascinating look at the Arizona Rangers from numerous sources, including the archives of the Arizona Rangers Museum in Nogales, the Arizona State Library and Archives, the Arizona Historical Society, and the Arizona Historical Foundation, as well as the personal collections and oral histories of rangers and their families. |
