MARK OWEN CHARETTE

 

Charette arrived in Vietnam 1968 and was assigned to A/2/501st. He was born in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. He died April 6, 1968 in Quang Tri, South Vietnam due to hostile fire. Read eye witness accounts of April 6, 1968 here. Other sources show he was assigned to B Company, 1st Battalion, 502nd Infantry, 101st Airborne Division.

Casualty was on Apr 6, 1968 in QUANG TRI, SOUTH VIETNAM, Hostile, died of wounds, GROUND CASUALTY, OTHER EXPLOSIVE DEVICE (major clash with a sizable NVA unit 35 miles northwest of Hue in Quang Tri Province).
