Al passed away peacefully from cancer at his home with his loved ones at
his side on Feb. 19, 2018. Albert, born Sept. 12, 1942, in Rochester, Michigan, to Wilford and Margaret Pain, was raised in Upland with his five siblings: Helen, David, Betty, Linda and Jane. He graduated from Upland High School in 1961. He married Diane Elizabeth Blair on Aug. 27, 1966. He was drafted into the Army and served from 1967 to 1969. In Vietnam, he was with the 101st Airborne Division as a helicopter mechanic. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Diane, his sons, Darin Pain and daughter-in-law Robin, of Highland, and Davis Pain, of Yucca Valley, and the joy of his life, his grandchildren, Malorie, Austin, Devin and Parker. |
