OBITUARY

Ernest Mitchell McDaniel passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2014, at his home surrounded by his family. He was a resident of Hartsgrove. Ernest was born May 5, 1948, in Palmer, Tenn., to the late, Charles and Joyce (nee Bess) McDaniel. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran and a Purple Heart recipient. He retired from BF Goodrich, where he worked as a machinist. He loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Ernest was a quiet, giving and selfless and loved doing things for others. He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Dolores (nee Alioto); children, Charles McDaniel of Rome and Lynnette (husband Clint) Stollard of Montville; grandchildren, Samuel and Allison Stollard; and brothers, Tim (wife Beverly) McDaniel of Eastlake and Dwayne McDaniel of Tennessee. He was a dear nephew, brother-in-law, uncle and great-uncle to many.
