Robert W. Patterson, November 20, 1944 – May 16, 2010 (written by his family)

Bob was the loving husband of Cynthia (Cindy) Patterson and father of Torri Mercer (Ted), Robin Palmer (Jeff), Jane Berg (Eric), Crystal Brown. He was a devoted Grandfather (Papa) to 12 and at the time of this writing a Great Grandfather of 5.

Bob was always an outdoorsman; his love for the outdoors was where he found his peace in life. Hunting and fishing was where he spread his knowledge. He was always eager to take a child under his wing and teach him everything he knew. His pride would show when they out fished him or dropped a bigger buck then he. Listening to his stories, for those who didn’t know him was always something to admire. “A fish bigger than the bathtub..”, this was something you had to see to believe. However, it was true as it was seen with my own eyes. He was always there to go help track a deer, and only a phone call away.

He was an all American man who passed his love for his country on to his children and grandchildren. He rarely discussed his time in Vietnam, and barely with his girls. However, that never stopped him from teaching respect for our Country, our Flag, and those who served in our US Military. We were very proud and lucky to have been taught and raised by such a great man.
