OBITUARY

Victer Lynn Schultz, 61, of Elgin, ND passed away on Friday, August 13 after a heroic battle with cancer. Victer was born to Raymond and Violet (Koehler) Schultz on July 12, 1949. He was raised on a farm in Robinson, ND and graduated from Robinson High School in 1967. After school he proudly served his country as a sergeant in the Vietnam War, and upon his return from Vietnam, he attended ND State College of Science and graduated as a diesel mechanic. On June 7, 1975 he was united in marriage to Anita Kindseth.

Vic was employed with Midwest Industrial Machinery for 17 years in Bismarck. In November 1989, he decided to move his family to a smaller community to raise his two girls, and Elgin was chosen. He began his employment with Dittus, Inc. After working as a mechanic for 30 years, he decided to change careers and began his employment with Abrasives, Inc.

Vic loved the great outdoors. He especially enjoyed fishing and four-wheeling throughout the countryside. Vic was a very simple person who took pride in his work. He enjoyed conversations with farmers, ranchers, and people throughout the communities.

Victer is survived by his wife of 35 years, Anita; his two daughters, Lynn (Jason) Hoffman of New Leipzig, ND, and Lisa (Dustin) Schultz-Redman of Lino Lakes, MN. Grandpa will be dearly missed by Ethan and Delaney Hoffman, Ava and Amelia Redman.
